Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) Official Images Released

Tom Hardy was Alan Taylor’s (Terminator: Genesis Director) first choice for the role of John Connor, obviously we don’t know the details but this didn’t happen as Jason Clarke is now playing John Connor in the next Terminator movie. Also, the following images will strike a Terminator Salvation chord inside you because McG used Max Max as an inspiration for the visual style of the 4th Terminator movie and a novel called ‘The Road’ which also became a movie (a very good apocalypse movie).

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) does interest us, for one because Hardy is a talented actor of this generation who has charisma (hard to find these days) and also because the new Mad Max movie is described as a chase movie from start to end (what a good Terminator movie should be).

Nicholas Hoult also stars in Mad Max: Fury Road; he was up for the role of John Connor in Terminator: Genesis also but obviously didn’t get the gig.

The filming of Mad Max has been troubled due to the filming in Australia’s desert and some severe weather issues which made a dry baron landscape turn into a giant oasis; this delayed filming and also messed up Charlize Theron’s filming schedule which had a knock on effect with Prometheus in which she was meant to play the female lead (Shaw) but instead changed roles to fit schedules so she could go back to filming Mad Max when required.

A trailer is now expected to debut at Comic Con. The movie reportedly has an estimated budget of $100,000,000.

Check out this still of Mel Gibson (now an Expendable) as the original Mad Max back in 1981… that looks very Terminator and he’s even missing an arm (well on his jacket at least).

This movie could be one to watch!
