Lifelike Arnold Schwarzenegger Terminator: Dark Fate Bust

Art Studio Terminator: Dark Fate - Arnold Schwarzenegger Bust

Months ago a spectacular looking Terminator: Dark Fate bust started doing the rounds on social media, and we were very impressed by the collectible which looks extremely realistic and utilizes Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s likeness as Carl the T-800 from the movie.

All we can ascertain at the moment is that this collectible has come from Asia and very much seems unofficial, as the only decipherable part of the logo is “Art Studio”.

Arnold, and respective rights holders of Terminator, have a reputation for coming down hard on businesses and individuals who are not paying for likeness / licensing fees but we saw something similar happen with the awesome Queen Studios busts of the T-800 and the T-1000. When those busts were first revealed we were immediately asked to remove any images / references to the busts from our social media, as it didn’t look like any licensing terms had been discussed.
Queen Studios, of course, went on to obtain the proper license deal through the appropriate channels.

There is a slim chance that the Carl bust was an Asia licensed product only but with no domestic / overseas license paid, which can happen, and was also the case with the official Terminator: Dark Fate Teddy Bear Collection.

The Carl busts have appeared on ebay and it looks like some people have been taking the risk; hopefully this isn’t a ruse and people are actually getting the bang for their buck, but, just maybe, the studios should commission the statue to be an official collectible as it really is something that many Arnold and Terminator Fans would surely like to own – well, those of you who can afford its meaty $600 price tag. Also, it wouldn’t be worth thinking about if you received something that didn’t resemble what is pictured, so… it’s definitely a case of ‘buyer beware‘ Terminator Fans.

Would you like to see more premium / lifelike Terminator collectibles like this, or do you think we need more affordable collectibles hitting the market for Terminator Fans?
