James Cameron turns his back on Terminator Franchise FOR GOOD?

JAMES CAMERON WALKS AWAY FROM TERMINATOR FOR GOOD!

Reported on: 19/02/10 Amended on 26th Feb thanks to THX1138 for the fact it wasn’t suit it was SOUP!

Jim Cameron to a good number of fans let us down when he did not return to a 3rd theatrical production. He never gave us the future world he showed glimpses of and he may complain about the SOUP being pissed in but he took a great big shit in the soup when he turned down making the third picture and then said the following after the 4th movie came out.

Jim Cameron on T3 and Terminator Salvation:

You definitely want to see them NOT do as well [as ‘Terminator’ and ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’],” said Cameron. “With ‘Terminator 3’ and ‘Terminator 4,’ because Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sam Worthington were in them, I wanted them to do well, but just not that well.

Here is the video MTV posted in which they mentioned to James Cameron about his old Terminator co-writer getting involved with proposed scripts for the next installments. Watch how James laughs when the word Terminator is said.

Well it seems James Cameron has run out of ideas with Terminator…. He refers to Bill Wisher as cashing in but we consider the return of Bill Wisher to be a welcome one that could benefit the series. James Cameron simply does not care to return and the interest Bill Wisher shows in wanting to help repair the damage done to the franchise is nice to see.

The franchise is a mess and to be honest it needs saving. It is easy to sit there after making T2 and go, hey the franchise is a mess. After all if he hadn’t of abandoned his child in the first place.. the franchise wouldn’t be a mess would it?

In the making of the T2:3D documentary Cameron did mention the ride as being the stepping stone to a third theatrical production and apparently a Cameron T3 would have happened around 95/96 but due to legal wranglings Cameron moved on.

Maybe James Cameron cannot better T2… maybe that’s the problem… or as the rumor mill suggests in the fan community of Linda Hamilton that maybe someone in his life doesn’t want him reunited with an old flame.

Many Terminator Fans choose to be bitter in regard to “the king of the world” and his lack of involvement with the franchise. The problem is  Jim Cameron makes out that T2 was the end of the story, that there is nothing left to tell… then why does the franchise feel like it has a huge hole running through the middle of it? An empty void that fans simply wanted filling.

He has also alienated fans with his poor choice of words in numerous interviews regarding the future sequels of Terminator.

Have fun in Pandora Jim you surely will be missed…

Update 14/08/2017:

As time passes and more details come to the surface we now understand why James Cameron walked away and and we totally now understand and support his decision. He wanted to own the franchise so he could control his ip and not be dictated to on what movie he would be making, something he had already faced on Terminator 2. Jim didn’t do any pissing or shitting in the soup… that is for sure. The people who did know who they are.
