“It is back” Arnold Schwarzenegger Confirms Return for Terminator 6

This was kind of a given and no surprise that Arnold Schwarzenegger will return for Terminator 6, which is being produced by his friend/series creator James Cameron.

While promoting the environment focused documentary “Wonders Of The Sea 3D” Schwarzenegger stated about Terminator 6 to Screen…

“It is back,” commented Schwarzenegger, who revealed that he had met Cameron recently and discussed the project. “It is moving forward. He [Cameron] has some good ideas of how to continue with the franchise,” the actor added, “I will be in the movie.”

Now, is he referring to the franchise being back or “it” being THE TERMINATOR character/villain? For the last few outings Arnold’s T-800 characters (all friendly cyborgs- especially in marketing) have usually been referred to as “He” e.g, He is back, He’s back etc; as if to bring a likable human element to the character which has inadvertently hit a flat note with audiences beyond Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

Maybe we’re looking too deeply into what was said but in the first movie Arnold’s character was mainly referred to as “it”. TheTerminatorFans.com also raised the “it and “he” issue in the past as a point of annoyance, stating that Terminator should be referred to as “it”, cyborgs are not human and therefore a machine is not a man even if coated in flesh.

Listen, and understand. That terminator is out there. It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

There are still other options for Arnold; playing good Terminators or human roles but we would rather see him badder than the first movie to be honest at this stage and the main villain but of course that is just what we believe would be most successful for Arnold and the franchise, so of course we push for and hope for it to happen.

Triplets and Conan sequels were also mentioned.
