We were told from the offset, by James Cameron and Tim Miller that Terminator: Dark Fate would be passing the baton to a new generation of characters.
The studios then ran reports/press releases that stated Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) would be passing her baton to Dani Ramos, and Arnold Schwarzenegger would be passing his to Grace (Mackenzie Davis).
The minute the words “baton pass” was used in relation to Sarah Connor – it seemed very much likely that Sarah Connor would die in the movie, and many fans speculated a “swan song” for Linda Hamilton’s character (Arnold Schwarzenegger really doesn’t count in this scenario, as they always find a way to keep bringing him back as new T-800 units).
The only characters really in danger of dying are the human characters.
While some fans were happy with a Sarah Connor swan song and seeing the character off the rest were split; with some wanting to see Linda Hamilton and Arnold stick out the new trilogy. TheTerminatorFans.com very much wanted Linda’s Sarah Connor to stick around for at least a couple more movies…

I apparently turned white. I was reading it and my friend came in from across the street and I told her, “Hang on. Hang on.” I was on the last five pages and when I turned around she goes, “You are white! What is going on?” I told her that I had just finished the script and said that we have to get my affairs in order because I will not be coming back. It was so daunting the amount of action. Some of it I could not even wrap my brain around, because it was so much bigger than anything I have read or done.

I was just reading this new Hollywood reporter article and something struck me. “You are white! What is going on?” I told her that I had just finished the script and said that we have to get my affairs in order because I will not be coming back.” To me, that sounds like a Freudian slip. I believe Sarah Connor is going to die in this movie. Have you heard her say one word about returning for a sequel if they do one? Nope. They barely got her to do this one. Sarah Connor will unfortunately make the ultimate sacrifice I do believe.

This could indeed be a Freudian slip but let’s look at that quote from a different angle…

Right, Linda says about getting her affairs in order and talks about not coming back followed by talking about the amount of action in the movie… Now, this could mean she needs to get her affairs in order because she is going to be away working for a long time and that she won’t be coming back because the script sounds like it will put the actress Linda Hamilton herself through a physical beating.
We recently ran some photos of a body double of Linda Hamilton and Natalia Reyes.
We then asked in a Youtube video if fans thought the images might mean that the end of the movie was being reshot; which was then followed by professional leaker extraordinaire ViewerAnon (the person who reinforced leaks – claiming not to be the original leaker) stating that this scene was indeed from the end of the Terminator: Dark Fate test screening he saw…
So if this scenario is to be believed – Sarah and Dani survive the movie and T-800 ‘Carl’ and Grace sacrifice themselves for Sarah and Dani.
The problem is, the reshoots and the leaks (which we believe have been orchestrated by the studios), along with the effort going into misdirection – means that now anything can change.
Would they use body doubles to drive up and down a road for a day to conceal the death of Sarah Connor? We wouldn’t put it past them…
The Halloween franchise has announced two more sequels, with Jamie Lee Curtis fronting them out. Will Terminator do the same, or will the new movie just have Sarah Connor buying the farm either in T:DF or, in the next movie ala Shaw in Alien: Covenant? Who knows…
