Is Michael Fassbender’s David Going to Evolve Into ALIEN?

Well Ridley Scott continues to give us more Alien prequel movies…

Instead of just wrapping up the prequels they go on and on and on with no end- totally ruining the mystery of the Xenomorph origin story and we don’t want the same fate for the Terminator franchise. There is a lot of mystery to the machines and the future especially in the first movie and we don’t want to know every little detail in the way Ridley Scott is doing with Alien in our opinion he is actually destroying the Alien franchise. For example we don’t need some ‘SkyNet is trying to save us from ourselves‘ bullshit plot story in T6 (our opinion), some things are best left untold.

At the end of Covenant we had Michael Fassbender’s David flying off into space with a bunch of embryos and bodies (possibly including Ripley’s parents) and Alien specimen samples,- which he obviously wants to cross breed to engineer to create his own biomechanoid army. Ridley has always said he sees the Alien as a weapon.

Ridley put the kibosh on Alien 5 (a sequel to Aliens) so he can take everyone to prequel hell with religious undertones and existentialism to the hilt and it just comes across a bunch of arty farty nonsense of androids playing pianos and flutes in space and quite frankly TheTerminatorFans.com think it sucks.

Wait… the horror is truly returning to the Alien franchise (sarcasm)!

Dread Central reports Via Empire Podcast:

Ridley Scott: “I think the evolution of the Alien himself is nearly over,” Scott says. “But what I was trying to do was transcend and move to another story, which would be taken over by A.I.’s. The world that the AI might create as a leader if he finds himself onto a new planet. We have actually quite a big layout for the next one.”

Michael Fassbender is SkyNet? No wait… “The Alien HIMSELF?” if the Alien franchise was predictable did Ridley just blow this wide open? Is the Alien we saw in the original movie… MICHAEL FUCKING FASSBENDER? The Android obsessed with evolution. We could be wrong but wow what a way to wreck the franchise even more or is it a ingenious idea? Is this why we are having Fassbender rammed down our throats for a big twist further down the line or are we overthinking the Alien franchise and Ridley’s words? Is the black goo and the Engineers all a big distraction for the very character we see before our eyes and his evolution into the biomechanoid weapon that Ridley sees the Xenomorph as? or did they make this shit up as they went along? Damon Lindelof did write the first movie (and LOST) after all…

Didn’t fans want Alien 5 instead? Why can’t Ridley bring Weaver back? Oh wait, he has suggested he wants to do that but with a fully CGI Ripley… you know because Sigourney isn’t starring in the Avatar movies according to Ridley she’s dead (sarcasm)!

While James Cameron and Tim Miller are going to venture forth with trying to reverse age stereotypes (while contradicting themselves with torch passing) Ridley Scott is showing ageism and sexism rolled into one.

The Terminator Fans have Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Alien Fans have Michael Fassbender and Michael Fassbender… David the possible ALIEN.

Right now our interest in Alien just hit rock bottom, we reported on some Alien stories/Exclusives because of the involvement of James Cameron, Gale Anne Hurd and Michael Biehn and our love for Xenomorphs but just like Terminator there are now more bad Alien movies than there are good ones, instead of Ridley attempting to fix the mess the franchise is in; he is now tinkering around the back-end of it and convoluting it even more.

A.I. can have a place in the Alien movies (it always did) but we really don’t want the mystery of the Xenomorphs to unfold anymore, especially if this is the direction it’s going in.

Advice to Ridley Scott (even though he doesn’t read online critique); drop the ego – revisit your younger self and make a film with the confines and restraints you had on the original Alien movie, bring back your leading lady (Weaver) and not in CGI (the real actress) and give fans a true Alien 5 it can be done as a sequel to the second (Blomkamp’s Alien 5 Requel Idea) or by including all 4 movies in the canon. Figure it out Ridley FFS.

We do respect Ridley but we do get frustrated sometimes especially when it looks very much like he’s is overthinking the Alien franchise.

Final thought… The Terminator franchise is moving in a better direction than Alien but both franchises still have a lot to do to impress us once again.
