Happy 25th Anniversary to one of the most successful sequels of all time. Terminator 2 to this day is the most successful Terminator movie, the movie was more commercial than the first horror fueled sci-fi flick but Jim Cameron got away with it. T2 is the peak of the franchise but sadly ever since then its all been downhill from there and better best forgotten…
Will this franchise ever reach the greatness of The Terminator or T2 again? We fucking hope so but if the studios continue to mishandle the property and the original key creative/cast are not involved ie. Linda Hamilton, Jim Cameron, Gale Anne Hurd then you can always count us right out.
Linda Hamilton was exceptional as Sarah Connor and the mighty boots Arnold left with the Cybernetic Assassin from the first movie were graciously filled by T2’s ‘The Terminator’ Robert Patrick as the almost cat-like mimetic poly-alloy T-1000. The practical effects by the Stan Winston team were out of this world!
We are still waiting for the real Terminator 3 and no, we don’t wan’t Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier (the writers of Genisys) to write it. Too many people are getting “easy money” out this franchise and if you fail you should be removed.
