Hamilton and Biehn to Star in Alan Taylor Directed Terminator Movie?

Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton in Terminator 5

This isn’t concrete but apparently a source close to the fifth Terminator movie has released information.

It remains to be seen if this is true but it could be. The word ‘source’ is always a problem to us. Any site can claim something is real and we’ve already had fake T5 news before with false statements from Arnold Schwarzenegger. It is also amazing how much news on the internet is false but we are led to believe it from politics to our favorite movies. This will be something Annapurna/Skydance/Paramount will have to confirm soon unless they want to piss off the fan base even more with the ‘mysterious garden path’ of Terminator 5 and the never ending BS news. Reporting half of it is simply tedious.

The source said:

“Given his age this could be the last time Arnie can say ‘I’ll be back’”

“He will want the Terminator franchise to go out with a bang so you can expect lots of explosions and special effects.”

“Arnold is just fantastic in the role and knows this world better than anyone.”

“Paramount have hired Taylor because of the way he mixes extreme action with dynamic story telling. While these movies are are about action, their success has been down to the exchanges between the robot and men.”

– Megan Ellison’s initial plan was to make two Terminator movies before 2018? So is T5 Arnold’s last ever Terminator movie?

– Arnold does not know the Terminator world better than anyone. Even if this source is legit we can smell something brown. When Arnold read the original script for T3 he wanted to know where the one liners were and wanted more or them (one liners are something we don’t want anymore). Stop with the merchandizing quotes Arnold, your killing our passion here. Terminator 3 was a fine example of him not understanding Terminator at all, other than running around with a blank face and a mind elsewhere. In T3 he couldn’t even act like a cyborg never mind make decisions about the creation of an actual serious Terminator movie.

We can believe he would like T5 to be a spectacle of a movie. That’s all we ever wanted since 1991… a trilogy and something to be proud of. It still hasn’t happened and with a director who has only made one film… that hasn’t even been released yet (Thor 2) it is worrying, especially when we wanted an old school director.

The Daily Mail reported this news and also said:

“Arnold is expected to earn over £13m ($20m) for the role, which made him a global star in 1984. Actress Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn will also return to the cast. An early release date is slated for June 2015.”*

*NOT a quote of the source they talked to

These quotes and info seem questionable and for now we will take it all as a rumor. If fans remember originally Justin Lin was brought in as a Director that hedge-fund (Pacificor LLC) brought on board to make an initial sales pitch to the new possible owners of the franchise. He stated that he would be bringing back Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese, so this info could be in regard to that past news.

We would be happy if they brought back Kyle and Sarah and other keyplayers. Keyplayers is something we find important to the continuity of this franchise (infront and behind the camera).
If this info is substantiated we will let you know! Check TheTerminatorFans.com for regular Terminator 5 updates.
