General John Connor Revealed for The Terminator The Official Board Game

General John Connor The Terminator The Official Board Game

Today is John Connor’s birthday and to celebrate; Space Goat Productions have revealed General John Connor for the board game which will be dedicated to the memory of late Actor/Director Bill Paxton.

Space Goat took to twitter to watch the first Terminator movie with fans in a live tweet session under the hashtag #T1isBack

You can see the player token/bust below for General John Connor!

General John Connor (in The Terminator The Official Board Game) will be a playable character that remains in the future, even though we explored ideas of John Connor travelling back to present day for a 6th Terminator movie here on TheTerminatorFans.com;- in the first movie he was a mysterious figure and the game intends to keep and stay true to the first movie in that sense, canon is of utmost importance here!

The character will obviously be a key playable figure in the future war of 2029 and while it doesn’t have the likeness of Michael Edwards (we can’t expect Space Goat to buy a full Terminator 2: Judgment Day license for one character,- it just isn’t economically viable and bringing Michael Edwards back in a Terminator movie would also be impossible anyway) we think they have done an excellent job in capturing the essence of the character.

Space Goat’s General John Connor has a look of Michael Biehn about him and definitely looks like the child of Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn).

He will also have a stat card…

…a detailed figure…

What more could you ask for?

Space Goat will also be at the ECCC this week, and will have Terminator prototypes for people to play with!
