GameCo, Inc. Terminator 2: Judgment Day™ Video Game Gambling Machines (VGM™)

If you fancy having a little flutter to win some cash- then what better way to do it than with ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ as a reprogrammed Terminator protecting the resistance from Terminators; after all it wouldn’t be politically correct to be blowing bloody holes into humans to win money on the Las Vegas strip or in your local arcade/sports bar now would it?

Going back in time we have fond memories of playing the excellent T2: The Arcade Game cabinets and we hope these new Video Game Gambling machines (VGM™) live up to how good and addictive that gaming experience actually was…

GameCo, Inc. plans to release three games for T2 and from the image contained in the press release (below) a console controller has been opted for the first cabinet to give fans a console feel for the game (no complaints). We hope that GameCo, Inc. will also consider bringing these games to consoles if possible, yes you won’t be able to win money unless the console market places allowed such functions/trade but they could offer The Terminator Fans some hot downloadable content that would keep purchases rolling in for the Terminator brand and license.

Fans have been very hungry for new Terminator console games especially ones that are based around the first two classic and most loved Jim Cameron Terminator movies!

The first game will obviously do some good press for the imminent release of Terminator 2: 3D- which we know is coming soon following a China release.

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — GameCo Inc. announces today it will be developing three new casino games for its video game gambling machines (VGM™) based on the iconic science fiction film, “Terminator 2: Judgment Day™” (T2), under license from Studiocanal S.A.S.

GameCo’s proprietary VGM is an arcade-style cabinet featuring a single-player 45-90 second video game, adapted from top console, PC, and mobile games. The first game is planned as a first-person action game where players will take the role of a reprogrammed T-800 with a mission to aid the human resistance by exterminating opposing Terminators. The deal was brokered by Creative Licensing and is expected to make its debut in casinos in early 2017.

“It’s exciting to introduce our celebrated film titles to fans and casino players in an engaging and interactive format,” said Rand Marlis, President and CEO of Creative Licensing. “GameCo’s VGM brings films to life in an updated arcade format, whereby players have fun with a chance of winning big money.”

GameCo recently launched at all three Caesars Entertainment properties in Atlantic City and at the Tropicana Atlantic City, making it the first skill-based gaming company in the world to debut its product on casino floors. GameCo is currently executing a major nationwide rollout, with plans to be operational in most major U.S. gambling jurisdictions by the end of 2017.

“T2 is a world famous classic film known for action, visual effects, and memorable characters, so it’s a great fit for the fast-paced experience we want to bring to casinos across the globe,” said Rich Maryyanek, Head of Global Business Development for GameCo. “We are excited to be working with Studiocanal and CLC to bring the ‘Terminator 2’ brand to our video game gambling machines,” he added.

GameCo’s VGMs offer an innovative new way to adapt popular licensed properties to the casino environment beyond the format of legacy slot machines. Video game gambling provides a unique opportunity to combine the engagement and interactivity of video games with the strong character, story, and narrative of popular film and TV properties. Gamers can “become” a Terminator to play and experience the story world.
