First Draft of Terminator 5 Script is Complete

Megan Ellison Terminator 5 First Script Draft

Megan Ellison the owner and producer of the next Terminator movie (she owns Annapurna Pictures) is currently reading the first draft of the 5th Terminator movie.

This also means a few others may be reading it too like a certain Mr Schwarzenegger for example.

Megan Ellison tweeted the following:

We do have to remember that this writing process has been delayed and has been in somewhat of a development hell up to now. Megan Ellison has now owned the rights to make Terminator movies for sometime. Back in January this year we reported that the previous writers of Terminator 5 had been let go (sacked/terminated) due to certain people being unhappy with the script not going in the “right direction” that isn’t to say those people are right because after all we have little trust in Arnold’s opinion regarding Terminator after watching him train-wreck his original performance with Blockbuster sequels that turned the franchise into something it never should have been in the first place.

Maybe the rumors of The Rock and a 1940/50’s Terminator movie was the original project that was ditched. Who knows? Megan does 😉

We have no idea if this movie is set in the past, present or future but one thing’s for sure we may be waiting for some more script revisions because if they want this movie to be good they can’t be accepting the first draft by Lussier and Kalogridis. Maybe Ten script revisions would help Terminator 5 with cheap writers like these. Isn’t Megan Ellison supposed to be rich?

Megan Ellison really needs to wow us with a top director now because if they announce the director is Patrick Lussier we may just loose interest in this movie. No offense to the writers but we don’t think they carry any weight with their names or projects and we even took time out to check out Shutter Island by Laeta Kalogridis (she wrote the script not the original book) in an effort to show promise instead what we witnessed was (Shitter Island) a project that showed promise but had so many holes explained away by drug intoxication and ridiculous schemes of mental rehabilitation that it made us doubt Terminator 5 even more!

The movie is being written as part of a new trilogy so perhaps we won’t get our stand alone Terminator movies anymore but perhaps more of the same empty cliffhanger Terminator movies and endings to make sure we buy a ticket to the next risible movie.

As always we want Megan and clan to prove us wrong but why should we give every new owner and team the benefit of the doubt when this franchise is in such a mess and so misunderstood by the ‘big people’. The wait has become boring, the loosely used terms of new trilogy/reboot is just simply annoying, fans are annoyed now and so are we. Terminator 5 is becoming a bore-fest and all we need now is a movie trailer with Arnold saying “I am back” and the shitfest will be complete. With writers like these and production companies that show the ability to make trashy and shit movies like Springbreakers (come on Annapurna you claim to be a sophisticated movie production company) and GI Joe. Terminator 5 could possibly make us want to shut this website down for good. If Skydance had their way it would have The Rock in it and have Tom Cruise as fucking John Connor.

Terminator 5 holds little excitement on this website. If they listened to fans they might be half way there… if they didn’t doom awaits. It isn’t hard to beat T3 or Salvation… so maybe they won’t make the worst Terminator movie ever and some people love those shit movies (TheTerminatorFans.com staffs majority opinion is they suck) and they will always be willing to buy some shit toy with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s expensive face on it. If Arnold got $30 Million for T3 he should be paid $30 for Terminator 5 because he owes the fans their money back! In fact pay him nothing until he can prove he can contribute something worthwhile to this franchise again.
