Exclusive: Upcoming Terminator Genisys Trailer to Feature More CGI Arnold and Spider HK Action

A source close to the production of Terminator Genisys showed us an image of the CGI 1984 Arnold Schwarzenegger that is reportedly being used in the next Trailer for Terminator Genisys which is rumored to hit this April… It is far more impressive than the previous 3D models we have seen… full rendering; hair, sweat and, if it was possible to do bad breath in CGI,- that would probably be there too (maybe a scratch and sniff edition of the movie will come for home release – joking obvs).

We saw the close-up (as seen below) of 1984 Arnold on his arrival when he stands and surveys his surroundings with a scan of his  eyes from left to right before walking to view the entire of LA from Griffith Observatory.

The above image best depicts what was seen but with his head facing right (our left).

It looks like Skydance has put the necessary money and time into creating a digital character that does justice to the young Arnold (The Terminator).

The character continues to have a #KenDollTerminator appearance (no genitals) but we don’t feel it does any major injustice, maybe we should appreciate it for being weird, it will probably look rather unnerving as he paces towards Schwarzenegger’s older Guardian Terminator. The Terminator will also have facial battle damage come a certain point in the fight but this will not stop him trying to Terminate Arnold’s Guardian.

Our source close to the production also stated that:

We will see more advanced CG Arnold renders/shots and the Spidertank/HK in action.

Sounds good to us…

The source continues to state what you will see in the trailer…

CG Arnold (will look much tidier and neater in the next trailer) : Shots are obviously a reproduction from the 1984 movie setting (Stage) and the new modern day fight scene twist: You will see CG Arnold getting attacked by Guardian and you may see, for the first time, the Face Damage CG Arnold version.

We saw a practical effect 1984 Arnold head a while back and the idea was to totally remove 1984 Arnold’s nose completely but the studio deemed this a little OTT. It has never been done before and may have appeared too dark or comical in early tests, but yes, a practical effect Arnold was going to be used in this fight but it was decided that the CGI was going so well that it was best to portray the original planned practical effect Arnold as CGI… that doesn’t mean practical effects won’t be in the movie as Legacy Effects were hired for that very reason.

Legacy Effects will be collaborating not only with the studio (to offer perfect 3D scans of it’s practical creations) but also, as we reported Legacy will be collaborating with collectible companies like Chronicle Collectibles… without doubt these will be the most accurate and some of the best quality Terminator figures and collectibles yet.

Our source states that the trailer is also planned to show us more of the Spider HK in action and we may see those exclusively reported back-and-forth style guns in action…

One shot of the Spidertank in action (dropping from the HK, impact on the ground and shooting at Guerilla soldiers with his two back/forth guns. That shot is pretty violent looking! The new kickass Trailer should be released around April/May…

HK weaponary: Gatling Guns: One in the front and one in the back, so when it stops shooting in the front it can reassign itself to the back pilot and as it becomes the rear it will shoot with the back Gatling guns set.

We obviously reported that changes took place which would mean that even Guardian will also be fully CGI for some shots of the fight.

We managed to pull together some artistic representations of early CG Arnold shots before the fight started to have changes made.

Obviously the new image we witnessed was a still frame of the 1984 sequence but is the most fully formed and finished cgi from the movie we have seen to date… the last CGI shots we saw were of the 1984 Terminator running (sans genitals) at the Guardian (modern day Arnold) the former we nicknamed the ken doll Terminator. We don’t think fans will be disappointed in the Terminator’s facial appearance in Terminator Genisys. Obviously the decision to remove the Terminator’s ‘package’ has come under some criticism, whatever the final decision is on the matter it might not be that peculiar if done right… after witnessing crotchless Arnold it doesn’t really stick in the mind as a bad thing it’s just different and that is what Terminator Genisys wanted to be… different. Regardless of if Ken Doll Arnold makes it to the final cut… we just thought it fair to introduce you to the idea so it doesn’t interrupt the flow of the Arnold Vs Arnold Death Match with confusion.

Jai Courtney has also been talking about wearing a ‘cock sock’ in recent interviews about his nude scenes. The 1984 Terminator double also wore a ‘cock sock’ to conceal genitals before cgi magic will remove them completely.

Time for another ‘Terminator Selfie’…

We can also confirm that the recent Terminator Genisys test screening (which went down well with test viewers) featured the Arnold Vs Arnold battle sequence… remember that even while a test screening has been carried out,- work still continues on the VFX of Terminator Genisys… so that means all the VFX work you saw in the trailers will be refined and improved upon… this can be seen in a number of trailers the most notable recent vfx changes in a trailer came from Jurassic World. It was important for the studios to get a public opinion on the fight sequence and obviously it is one of the most important sequences in the movie to get right, especially after Arnold’s digital appearance in Terminator Salvation was a total anti-climax, but we understand that the resources available now were not available to the Halcyon Company at the time, financially or technologically. Not doing the infamous 1984 scenes justice would simply be unforgivable.

As always we have not blown the entire movie open as we want you to enjoy what you see. A lot of our stories are now being confirmed as factually correct at the time they have been published.

What we can tell you is 1984 Arnold might be having his face blasted (battle damaged)… via Guardian Shot Gun blasts…
