Exclusive: Terminator Genisys to Visually Re-Create Look and Feel of Cameron Movies

Terminator Genisys T-800

An official source close to the production of Terminator Genisys has notified us that Skydance Productions have strict needs requiring the visual look and cinematography of Terminator Genisys.

Although the movie may look visually similar (most notably with the 1984 time period) it will be doing something new and different with the franchise in terms of how the movie is executed and how the story plays out. The most obvious change is that time travel will play more of a role than ever before in the series, with the ability to leap into the future or past at any given moment the story devises.

The colors and tones of the movie from what we have seen are matching the first 2 movies. While the 1984 time-line will have its tones of blues, greens and blacks…  the 2017 time period, we would assume, would recreate the colors of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Terminator 2 mainly dealing from transitions of brighter steel blues and warm orange hues.

We are happy to see night-time shoots in the movie, sunlight is overrated especially in Terminator movies.

When approaching companies- Skydance has explained the importance of the visual style needing to match those of the first two movies and that all the future war scenes are required to bring the look of Jim Cameron’s Future War from the first two Terminator movies back in it’s full cinematic glory.

The focus is to make a Jim Cameron style of movie but also to revitalize an ailing franchise.

We stay open minded even when sometimes it’s hard to move on from issues of age rating and the climate of Hollywood today.

Skydance Productions stated to TheTerminatorFans.com; the following:

“We’re really working hard to do something new with the Terminator universe, and want it to be a ride people go on when they see it.”

Terminator Genisys has been a journey of ups and downs due to a mixed fan base, as we have stated numerous times Skydance Productions faces all the angst and criticism that the previous movie studios helped to create and even if they (Skydance) are producing the best Terminator movie the world has ever seen right now,- fans fear and worry, which causes some unnecessary anxiety and may detract from any possible enjoyment on the journey of this beloved franchise.
