EXCLUSIVE: Terminator 2 3D Post-Conversion is on Target and Enhanced

Terminator 2 3D will be More Advanced, More Deadly and More Real… #MoreThan3D

Officially announced so far is that Stereo D are doing the 3D conversion and that the movie will be digitally remastered.

Stereo D is the leading stereoscopic 3D conversion, handling all work for Marvel, Star Wars, and so much more.

Now we can finally feed your Terminator 2 3D hunger with some juicy and exciting information.

A source close to the production of Terminator 2 3D reassured us of the following…

Stereo D is doing the post-conversion and putting a lot of work into making it a great experience.

While it would have been great to launch Terminator 2 3D on the original US opening weekend it is nice to see that this release will get a proper production and won’t be rushed.

Our source goes on to state that…

The entire film is not only getting a 3D conversion but it will also be a much cleaner, sharper product overall.

So, this is not only a 3D conversion but more?

Okay- time out, stop the bike…

Let’s take this back to Titanic 3D’s conversion, Jim Cameron made enhancements most notably for altering a scene with a star constellation in the sky to match the exact way it would have appeared in 1912 (star map) on that fateful night Titanic sunk. This could mean that Jim Cameron can do what he likes to T2; enhance/change color tone, correct any flaws/mistakes, also remember those small dust speckles and hairs when films were real -reel and not filmed digitally!!!), if James Cameron wanted to he could enhance the entire T-1000 character that was lovingly created back in the day by Stan Winston Studios (Practical) and ILM Industrial Light and Magic(CGI). If he wanted to he could overlay on practical effects for extra animations that previously didn’t exist. The gore and blood could also be removed for China to meet strict guidelines or imagine if Jim’s added more machines in the future war, a HK Centurion Terminator Unit in the distance marching over skulls, an extra Endoskeleton or two? Maybe, maybe not… but time will tell.

Obviously we do not know what the enhancements will be but surely on this information alone we can assure you that the movie will look better than ever before in terms of quality, picture and a worthy HD resolution. Fans with Home 3D set-ups will be thrilled come home release.

How enhanced will the film be? Rest assured if Jim Cameron sees imperfections then they will need to be fixed but that will make it all more surprising when this movie comes out. It’s a reason to go back to the theater and watch the movie again, to see what Jim has changed.

Remember what Cameron said last year?

Next year marks the 25th anniversary of Terminator 2 and that seemed like the perfect time to bring it back but this time in an all-new 3D version… If you’ve never seen it, this’ll be the version you want to see and remember.

Even if T2 is the end of the Terminator franchise for years to come and Jim Cameron is concreting his ending in a plan to safeguard his movies… one theory we have had is that he could re-film the FUTURE CODA (special edition ending) with Modern Day Linda Hamilton (the real shining star of Terminator 2) making a tape recording in 2016 but put a spin on it that leaves the door open in our present for a final Jim Cameron trilogy piece… Whatever happened to Sarah Connor in Jim’s universe?

Alien 5 gives new hope to a hardcore fanbase but what hope do we have with the studios sitting on Terminator and wasting precious time the terminator fans don’t have. Now is the right climate for Alien 5 and Terminator 3D (The Real T3) but without the original creators on board it won’t work. Learn from your mistakes Hollywood. Think about the bigger picture and look how many times people are willing to buy the first two Terminator movies on Blu-Ray and DVD just because they have different artwork or bonus content… We now need a movie that is like the first two Terminator movies tonally merged together (not scene for scene rip offs) with the horror of The Terminator mixed with the slick action of Terminator 2 and make Arnold bad again, the hero Terminator is getting exhausting but T2 did it first after all. T2 you are forgiven.

One more thing… If Arnold smiles in T2 3D (deleted scene) we will walk out the theater… Just a warning. That scene was deleted for a reason! #StayDeleted
