In an upcoming Exclusive interview with TheTerminatorFans.com Daniel Robichaud was asked the following question:

TheTerminatorFans.com: Many fans; due to financial status or location may never be able to see the ride in the flesh, do you think it is a technical possibility that the ride could be converted to a home release? eg. filming secondary layers of the live performances in front of the background utilizing home 3D home cinemas?

Daniel Robichaud: This would be a great idea. Short of being able to film and composite the live portion of the performance over the projection as it appears at Universal Studios, the digital sequence could very well tell the story as it is, since the jumbotron screens in the virtual SkyNet set displays the action of the live actors on stage.

With the advancement in technology, home entertainment systems and TV are vastly incorporating 3D. It is now a technical possibility to have T2-3D grace our home theaters/TV’s in high definition. The ride has been bootlegged so many times that it should be released to a wider audience of Terminator Fans with a home release that does the ride justice.

So do you want to own T2 3-D: Battle Across Time on Blu-Ray as an independent release  or as a bonus disc in a new extreme collector’s edition of Terminator 2: Judgment Day?
