Paramount Pictures was once a viable name that produced great movies but has since become lazy, arrogant and loves cutting corners with CGI; creating popcorn trash summer movies, rebooting franchises against the wishes of fans and turning once brutal blue-collar, science fiction horror franchises (Terminator) into one of the most underwhelming and forgettable PG-13 nostalgia cash-ins of last year. Out of all the studio elite (major Hollywood studios) Paramount Pictures has been recklessly under-performing for a long time.
Amazon Prime’s Jean-Claude Van Johnson‘s pilot episode even prodded fun at the studio in the form of scripts that Jean-Claude Van Damme wasn’t interested in reading (described by his agent as having giant CGI chickens and starring Channing Tatum in the lead- sounds about right). Van Damme starring as Van Damme instead would rather return to being an undercover movie star spy instead (listen below)… We found the pilot somewhat lacking but we hope the show picks up momentum as it goes forward as it really does have potential.
Recently we have been running T2:3D hype-content and stories relating to the remastered re-release of Terminator 2 in 3D and we have been getting a number of Jim Cameron related country restrictions/blocks on Youtube and Paramount Pictures is always right there at the end of the copyright claim notice. Is DMG Entertainment somehow a front/subsidiary for Paramount/Viacom or is it a mutual distribution deal?
So, why is DMG not listed in the disclaimer but Paramount is… because Paramount is hiding behind T2:3D perhaps? They did say Genisys was emulating/aiming for a T2 style of movie… so if they are incapable of doing it creatively then they need to release the real deal to get the job done?
It is no surprise to see STUDIOCANAL and Lionsgate are in the claim as they do a very great job in years of presentation and care of Terminator 2 and have never hassled this website at all but the same can not be said for Paramount and they are sending a lot of disclaimers to us individually separate from the claims involving STUDIOCANAL and Lionsgate. Paramount have also been setting claims on any of our videos involving James Cameron/Terminator Genisys, the official Jim Cameron China announcement of T23D and now just based on a singular Schwarzenegger poster image (that other youtube users are freely putting in their videos). The disclaimers obviously originate with Paramount Pictures as no other T2 content is being brought up in issues of copyright. We have not used movie footage, only still images and self-created imagery.
Paramount’s further action is then to monetize the videos on our account (something we don’t do on youtube as we just mainly archive studio content that is obviously owned by studios) we don’t mind the owners making money, Studios want money of course but the insult is that they would then block our content in 10 countries primarily America? For what reason Paramount do you want to restrict our traffic (our primary users/audience)? There is a reason.
Can the new CEO sort this business ethic out because it clearly hasn’t been working for the company in recent years, alienating fans is not the way to go.
How does the above poster that has been released officially on social media by STUDIOCANAL/shared on blogs/sites across the internet need to be withheld from fans in the following countries on our specific youtube channel? The word ‘Asshats’ comes to mind.

Thanks Paramount, you are preventing our main audience from viewing videos on our site. Terminator is an American Science Fiction Franchise… Why do Paramount treat fans so poorly?
We know that Terminator 2: 3D is only happening because Terminator Genisys was a success in China. The China obsession also smells strongly of Paramount as the rest of the worldwide fan base doesn’t even seem to give that much of a damn about T23D, it should be a worldwide event, the realignment of the stars and the possible opening of the door to a third canon Jim Cameron/Gale Anne Hurd continuation sequel/requel starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton.
Somehow Paramount is involved with Terminator 2 3D returning to theaters, the literal ghost in the machine.
Releasing continual shit movies is doable when you have decades of strong revenue behind your company or a never ending flow of investors cash but what if things get so bad that you are relying on movies like Terminator Genisys and Skydance Media ‘an in-house company that wants to take over your company’;- to save your company from going bust?
Fox, China, DMG Entertainment and Skydance Media all expressed interest in a slice/ownership/co-ownership of the company but owner Viacom wants to retain as much power as possible and to give any prospective buyer major company shares is not what Viacom understandably wants.
Our bet is that Paramount and Skydance are locked into the Terminator 2 3D deal as the current owners of the property, instead of Terminator 6 we are being given Terminator 2 in 3D, Paramount could possibly be the distributor or they may have planned on ghosting their way through the release due to fan distrust in the Paramount/Skydance brands after Terminator Genisys.
Paramount Pictures also distributed Titanic 3D and have postponed some park plans (due to financial issues) to open numerous theme-parks in Asia and the rest of the world that will feature Jim Cameron Titanic/Ride event attractions at various ‘Paramount Parks’… Cameron, 20th Century Fox and Paramount have also made a lot of money together with a Titanic Experience exhibit previously. Perhaps a more viable reason as to why Cameron endorsed the movie is the business connections/themepark plans at Paramount Pictures is because of these on going business negotiations and for friends Arnold Schwarzenegger and Laeta Kalogridis (one of the writers of Genisys).
Paramount is America’s oldest running studio, founded in 1912 so maybe if it starts to treat fans better, make a better standard of ‘film’ under the new operation/game plan of new CEO Brad Grey (Chairman and CEO). Yes the CEO in control when Genisys was made has left the building and sold off the majority of his shares, he wants nothing to do with the company and also perhaps was trying to initiate the sale of paramount in the first place.
Brad Grey now has Viacom on side and plans to sell the company in any form has been halted indefinitely. Brad obviously needs to wipe the slate clean and start over and turn the reputation of the company around, maybe Terminator 2 could be the start of repairing that damage.
Bringing some focus back to Paramount’s independent department “Paramount Vantage” might be the first step. Making real films again might be the way forward, not restricting free advertising from fans; our videos might help a little and having more consideration for Terminator and Star Trek fans in general.
