Exclusive: Original T-800 Stuntman ‘Squamish Councillor Peter Kent’ Interested in Terminator Return

Hardcore fans will know that Peter Kent was Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 Stunt Man in the first two Terminator movies (and longterm stuntman on the majority of Arnold’s biggest blockbuster movies) and some fans have been hopeful of his return.

To bring more believability to the stunts Peter would also sit in the make-up chair for long hours while make-up and facial prosthetics were applied to his face to give audiences the belief that Schwarzenegger was climbing on moving vehicles and jumping bikes into flood canals.

Even though Peter Kent retired (from doing life threatening stunts in movies) after a pretty bad accident in which he smashed half of his body off a shipping container seen in the final action sequences of the Schwarzenegger movie Eraser. He is willing to take risks at least one more time in the name of the Terminator franchise/fans and his old training partner Mr Schwarzenegger.

TheTerminatorFans.com: You mentioned in an interview with TheTerminatorFans.com in the past that you would be interested in coming out of movie retirement and wearing the leather jacket for another outing of Terminator stunts in a theatrical movie is this still of interest to you?

Peter Kent:

Affirmative!

The answer of a machine!

He has since worked in TV, has continued to work in film as well as running a stunt school. While all that is impressive Peter is taking some familiar steps that another certain Terminator has taken… into the world of politics.

Peter Kent is now Squamish Councillor Peter Kent. A Terminator programmed to assist his local towns people and to protect their public interests.

Even if he had not been elected as Councillor Peter Kent made a promise that if voter turnout was raised in the town…

“If voter turnout is raised this is what I will do but you don’t have to vote for me”

That promise was to set himself on fire …

His promise was kept and if you watch the video below; it almost feels like Peter could be readying for a scene in a Terminator movie as the T-800.

Bad to the bone!

Peter told us:

It was a promise I made to the people; that if they came out and voted- that’s what they would see. Being a new politician the last thing you want to do is make a promise and break it right off the top. And our little town is getting notice, the far field is New York Times and the LA Times are talking about us, so all of this just serves to bring more eyes on the town.

Hows Where Heaven & Hell Collide going with your friend Greg Robbins?

Going well with the film. Some New developments.

So you’re working out again… you pumping some iron?

I’m back in the gym. I’m Feeling strong for 57!! Loving it except for a separated shoulder which needs fixing.

Is that a recent injury? or old one

It’s the damage from the Eraser container accident compounded by a mountain bike crash last summer.

Peter went on to explain that to be in top condition to do stunts again he will have to undergo a small surgery to repair the separated shoulder which he plans on doing soon and should only take him 3 weeks to recover from.

How would it feel to work with Arnold again on a Terminator movie and to train your bodies in sync for the role?

I’d be happy to work with Arnold again

Would you be willing to sit for long hours in the make-up chair again and to dye your hair grey/wear wigs if required?

Don’t care about the makeup, I’ve been there and was the first, so it’s nothing to me now.

Peter stopped doing stunts for Arnold after a bad accident on the movie Eraser, also Arnold was going into Governorship not long after, but Peter runs a stunt school, has worked in TV and looks in good shape for a man who has taken a battering as a long-term stuntman to the majority of Arnold’s movies.

Peter wasn’t involved with Terminator 3 through to Terminator Genisys but when we interviewed him he said he would be interested in re-teaming with Schwarzenegger for another round of action as the T-800!

Would you like to see Peter Kent back in a new Terminator movie doing T-800 Arnold stunts again?

This could be an exciting opportunity for studios for any upcoming sequels to Genisys.
