Terminator Fans know that Edward Furlong AKA “the real John Connor” has recently done a stint in rehab and images showed the star looking tired, overweight and seemingly struggling with some personal demons.
TheTerminatorFans.com have been holding out for Edward to turn things around and change public (and Hollywood’s) perceptions. Many fans still want Furlong to comeback to the role he owned back in 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
The good news is- Edward is looking much better and seems to be on the road to recovery.

Edward Furlong is working out every day? Now, that is exactly what we wanted to hear and that is exactly what is required if fans are ever going to take him seriously as the world military leader of the human worldwide resistance; John Connor.
The following images show Edward furlong at the New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival which took place from the 21st September – 23rd September 2018. They show Edward looking much healthier and in a much better place.
TheTerminatorFans.com want to thank everybody who has kept positive thoughts for Edward and have not written him off, while we can understand some people giving up on Edward,- we really want people to give him one more chance to get fit and reprise his role as John Connor.
If the new Terminator trilogy (a sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day) replaces Edward with a new John Connor; it will destroy the credibility that this is a true T2 continuation, well, it will for us, because we hate actor recasting and we have given too many chances to studios already in regard to the recasting of John Connor.
If Edward furlong stays on track and if studios have left the door open for the actor we could see the real John Connor return for a leading role in Terminator 7 or Terminator 8.
If he can turn this all around, then he could well carry on the franchise beyond the involvement of Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger but that opportunity rests on Edward Furlong’s shoulders now- to convince those who have lost faith that he is up to the task.
