Well wasn’t that obvious… Emilia Clarke was chosen to play Sarah Connor in the next Terminator movie and she has signed on. Why waste the other actresses times or hopes when this so obvious option was going to get the role anyway? Mentioning her name with a few other actresses names must add some credibility… After all, she must be a better actress than the others- right? It isn’t like Emilia had any strong competition for the role though… personally if we would have had the choice out of the list of actresses we would have gone with Rachel Evan Wood but if it was a choice outside of the names mentioned, we would have wanted none of them.Our interest in this movie just dropped way off and get this… apparently the movie is going to take a trip into the future… didn’t they already do that in TSCC?
It now looks like fans will get the future war you always wanted (kinda) via a reboot trilogy and a TV series but with a bunch of new actors trying to replicate screen magic once again, ‘Sliders’ anyone?
The thing is we are loyal to the original key-players of the Terminator franchise, Emilia Clarke is no Linda Hamilton. She has major boots to fill. We wish her the best of luck cos she is gonna need it.
We could look at it from a different angle… if Arnold perhaps plays a bad Terminator this time around we will be cheering Arnold on to tear Sarah Connor’s heart out… maybe SkyNet could win this time!
Linda Hamilton defined the role in 2 movies, Linda Hamilton played innocent Sarah, Hardened Sarah and even a Terminator herself when she went off to assassinate Miles Dyson. The character became one of the most iconic female heroins in Hollywood and still is today, even being on the same level as Ripley from the Alien Saga.
Emilia Clarke is getting a real big break here and we think Game of Thrones is shit, with dodgy sword-fights, big names whoring themselves for some quick cash and hell, we need to put some soft core porn in it too just to bring the figures in.
So here we have it, Emilia Clarke will play Sarah Connor and she is not only going to be the target of Terminaton but also Spermination from Kyle Reese.
This film is for next generation Terminator Fans and not THE TERMINATOR FANS! This is the shoddy re-imagining of an old tale, personally we wanted more of the same tale not a reenactment which makes the franchise look like a Kindergarten play.
