Both Emilia Clarke and Brie Larson tested for the role of Sarah Connor in front of the producers and director (Alan Taylor) for Terminator (2015).
Out of all the actresses who tried for the role, Emilia and Brie are the 2 contenders for the role.
Rumors suggest that Emilia Clarke has the edge to get the role but we find no surprise in that at all… It would be a major surprise if she didn’t get the role seeing as Alan Taylor has worked with her on Game of Thrones and the producer Megan Ellison is a fan of the show too.
Personally we just don’t feel this reboot, it just feels wrong and these fresh faced girls trying for one of the most iconic female lead roles in movie history is actually more than ridiculous.
Producers have stated that the role of Sarah Connor will be physical as well as emotional. They should have given Linda Hamilton a call because she defined that character so well to us she became it. Linda Hamilton IS Sarah Connor just like Arnold Schwarzenegger IS The Terminator.
For us to accept this new Terminator reboot it will need to be so damn good that we are willing to ignore that T1 and T2 ever happened or just see it as some fun but will it feel like a real Terminator movie or an emulation of what once was? Who knows but we are being more open to the idea as much as it saddens us and if it does bomb it would kind of be a sign that enough is enough and we need to accept that there are only two real Terminator movies and we should rejoice in those 2 movies and see everything else as a cheap imitation.
