Premium collectibles company DarkSide Collectibles Studio have made an announcement about product delays; citing the pandemic as the cause – something which continues to create numerous problems from production, through to shipping. This means that official Terminator 2: Judgment Day 30th Anniversary statues of the T-800, T-1000 and Sarah Connor will be impacted.
Terminator Fans will have to wait just a bit longer than expected.

Following the 23 years of experience as a high-end retail shop in Europe, DarkSide Collectibles, rolled out at 2019 as a European Elite Manufacturer holding licenses such as Studio Canal & Oak Productions, Capcom, Viacom-CBS/Paramount and lately the Warner Bros license.
The Creative Department is concentrated on developing hyper realistic handmade fully sculpted statues under the Brand Name Darkside Collectibles Studio™.
So far, the Studio Team has released 12 statues for pre order and 3 of them, Dante, Spock and Ada are ready for delivery or they have already been delivered and received with enthusiasm by the collector’s community.
Unfortunately, the Covid-19 case has affected all industries including the collectibles industry and therefore DarkSide Collectibles Studio™.
The two-year global pandemic has caused and still causes lots of delays in numerous parts of the production chain. The approvals from licensors take longer, the speed of manufacturing is by far slower, as the factories due to safety distance measures work with one third of their original employee capacity, generating tremendous production queues that affect all producers. It’s a fact that if one producer delays all other producers waiting in line suffer even bigger delays. Unfortunately working with the best factories has its price and waiting time.
The shipments from China apart from the outrage pricing has become extremely slow as China harbors open and close more frequent than a light switch.
This situation is out of the Studio’s control and the team is working daily to deliver the soonest all Statues with Priority to the Terminator, especially T-800 on motorcycle, and Star trek line that have been greatly affected by a delay of more than one year from the initial release.
Please note that we will not sacrifice quality for a speedy delivery.The team though has also made good use of this waiting period and revised, when necessary, the statues in order to sustain its Mission for Continuous Improvement offering always the Ultimate Collector’s Satisfaction.

Numerous collectible companies have already folded due to the COVID-19 pandemic but DarkSide are being transparent and keeping collectors informed about the problems they are facing as they work through them.
For any fans or collectors who are skeptical about this announcement,- it should be noted that the official Arnold Schwarzenegger T-800 statue, which was recently announced, is in partnership directly with Arnold Schwarzenegger and his company Oak Productions.
Ordering items with a potential delay can be disheartening enough, but with the added technicalities which have been brought about via the pandemic and import / export, it’s easy to get frustrated. Hopefully things get easier soon as the world adjusts to the changes going forwards.
