Arnold Schwarzenegger Won’t be BACK – Terminator 6 TERMINATED!?

Paramount Pictures Cancel Terminate Terminator 6 and Schwarzenegger

Paramount Pictures, it seems in a new report; is washing its hands of Terminator and this means Terminating long-term contracts with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Emilia Clarke to return for sequels to Terminator Genisys.

He won’t be back.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator franchise has been terminated after 32 years, according to an inside source, who reports that Paramount execs have decided not to pick up their option to bring Arnie and “Game of Thrones” beauty Emilia Clarke back for additional movies in the series. Originally it was hoped that the next installment would happen this year.

The move comes in spite of the fact that the fifth Terminator movie — 2015’s widely panned “Terminator Genisys” — raked in almost $300 million in profits.

So far this actually good news… we didn’t want more Genisys anyway! This is technically the official TERMINATION of Genisys sequels and not Terminator 6 itself!

This does not mean Terminator 6 won’t happen or that Arnold won’t be back… unless he changes his mind about running for senate that is.

“It is over for ‘The Terminator’ and Arnold,” said our Los Angeles-based source. “The studio has taken the sequel off the production slate completely, meaning there is no preproduction or any plans for another sequel. The talent had been offered long term deals, but this is not happening.

This isn’t actually bad news in our eyes…

“The Genisys movie was seen as a way of reviving (the franchise), but the critics were not happy and somehow the studio bosses fell out of love with making more, even though they made huge profits,”

No more Genisys movies? How is this bad news? The news gets even better for fans…

“It would need an independent production company to think about making this, and asking Arnie back at age 70 to play that again may be a tough ask,”

So Paramount Pictures doesn’t want to continue Terminator but an independent film company can take over? This is actually GREAT NEWS! Especially for those fans who want the series to go back to its gritty, low budget horror roots but with grand scale action of Terminator 2! We think it more than possible to keep the budget down but still offer fans a great, realistic Terminator movie for a fraction of the cost! If like us you want a REAL Terminator 2 sequel Executive Produced by James Cameron then this aligning of the stars is the only way, so now we all need to stay positive!

We need actors to take pay cuts to keep project integrity and to disallow Terminator from being destroyed by commercialism.

If an independent film company takes over then they can bring back Arnold in an independent Terminator movie under new contracts that do not involve Genisys contracts! They can also bring back Linda Hamilton as the Sarah Connor because the contract with Emilia Clarke is also Terminated.

Paramount Pictures stepping away is a great thing for the project and honorable of them to do so- if they can not provide the fans what they require, while some might consider the news shocking we are going to feel positive about it and hope for a much better outcome for Terminator 6.

This is just a matter of contracts and until otherwise stated; Jim is still involved as Executive Producer… once a new and hopefully INDEPENDENT studio is found for Terminator 6,- one who we hope will bring the budget right down so we can have a REAL Terminator movie and not some CGI overloaded popcorn trash tent-pole movie! T6 will destroy the box office (if they do it right) and be a really big movie but we won’t have big greedy fat cat fingers destroying the project (hopefully not anyway).

This will not stop greedy businessmen from trying to shift Terminator back to tent-pole summer merchandising fluff but be warned if you try to stop Terminator from going back to its great and mighty independent roots- we won’t welcome it and we will hate you for it, so just don’t bother. Do it right or GET OUT!

Good luck finding a new INDEPENDENT studio Skydance! If you put the project and the fans first then… WE WILL SUPPORT YOU ALL THE WAY!

One more thing.. don’t rule Schwarzenegger out of a return… not on our watch!
