Terminator 3: The Redemption (XBOX/ PS2/ GC)

This game is pure and unadulterated shoot'em up, similar to that of Terminator 2: The Arcade Game.
The pace keeps things not only ticking along nicely but pumped to an almost painful fever-pitch. Though the hand-to-hand can seem somewhat slow and arduous, the land and vehicle action pursuit more than makes up for it.
You'll be very aware of the decayed and crumbling buildings as you pass by, yes the graphics in parts are really that swish.

Having said that, sadly, unless you are very fond of the older games, you'll find the game comes across a smidge bit dated and repetitive.
Look, to be honest it's a good little time filler, not above and beyond, but enjoyable nonetheless if you have the urge to shoot the crap out of some evil tin men. Go on, give it a go, you have nothing to lose, well , except Kate. But hey, sh*t happens.
The game is set in 2032, a squad of Tech-Com soldiers are storming a SkyNet facility just in time to stop a T-X from entering a time-displacement machine. But due to a lack of information and manpower they are all brutally slaughtered.
Kate Brewster and the Resistance ambush a T-850, which was responsible for the death of John Connor. A Tech-Com technician reprogrammes the Cyborg to send it back in time to 2003, protecting Kate and John in a pre-emptive strike.
In an adrenaline rush of action packed gameplay you (the T-850) embark on a mission to stop John's death before it can happen and save the future of mankind as we know it.
The game was better than the film. Time travel was implemented into the plot this was a fresh approach to a Terminator game. You go back in time from the future, then back to the future for a finale against skynet itself.
Maybe if they had let the guys who made this game make the third installment of the movie franchise, we wouldn't be in such a mess now.
