Jai Courtney has been Genisys-ing around the internet talking about Termurminator Regenerasys (otherwise known as Terminator: Genesis or Terminator: Genisys). It seems that Jai Courtney didn’t even know what movie he starred in or what was going on at all (keeping a tight lip and playing safe so as not to get in trouble with the studio). It seems that Mr. Courtney has had an epiphany in regards to better classifying the upcoming Terminator movie…
In a recent interview with Collider.com; Jai stated the following about which category the movie falls into with regard to being a sequel, prequel, or total reboot:
“I think it’s going to be really cool what they’ve done with it. It’s curious, I’ve been thinking a lot about how we actually frame—people want to know if it’s a sequel or a reboot. A word that kind of came to me is that it’s more of a ‘reset.’ That’s the awesome thing about when you play with time travel. We can kind of get away with, you know, maybe we’re introduced to a world that audiences know but circumstances can change and that shifts the course of everything.”
Time Travel will alter the existing timeline and go in a different direction, will Kyle and Sarah attempt to bomb Cyberdyne more early on- like the Deleted Scenes of The Terminator 1984… ?
Things are set to change drastically in this timeline… it now looks like Jai Courtney has let slip that his Kyle Reese is likely not to die in this movie.
Regarding the new Trilogy he told Collider:
“They’ve already slated [the sequels]. They released their proposed released dates for the next two, so it’s cool. Something like that, I don’t have a problem thinking that it’ll be part of my life for the next few years because I’m into it. I like the idea of it… I feel like with this, the plan they have and the journey that we’re gonna go on from here will be different enough to not feel like we’re just repeating history.”
We like theories and predictions, so we’re going to say the following; we believe Jai will die as Kyle Reese in the movie but a love hungry Sarah Connor will save him with time travel. We could be completely wrong or we just blew the lid off the love story.
“I don’t think it’s either or. I think it’s, if they wanted to [watch the first two films] they could but I don’t think that if they hadn’t they’ll see our film and be completely lost.”
There should be more excitement for this movie. I hope that this movie was filmed in R. I have witnessed many bad movies and franchises go down the pan with family ratings. I do not enjoy movies very often because of the age we live in,- will Terminator: Genisys be fresh and new and rebirth the franchise, or will it fail in every way possible by compromising the integrity and core of the franchise. I like my movies to be dark, I do not find people caked in make-up and foundation with pristine haircuts, running around on green screen to be entertaining, I find it cringeworthy. The only problem I have with Jai Courtney? As another fan mentioned on our social networks, Kyle Reese is from a baron future where food is in short supply… but Jai Courtney has the body of someone who is on a very substantial and healthy diet…
Hollywood take note; Fans are sticklers for details.

Yes, we are obsessive sticklers for details.
The film title refers to, Genisys, which can rewrite history based on the events of T1.
The most important thing is, the date quoted in T1 says, Los Angeles 1984 1:52 a.m., whereas later, the Cop in the Alleyway quoted the day as… (here are the events):
Very soon, the Police arrive and one goes down the alley.
Kyle disarms him, points his gun at him & says “what date is it?”
The cop replies, “12 May, Thursday”.
“What year?”
No answer.
(The 12th May Thursday occurs in 1983. Did the cop make a mistake or is it more likely that the clip was shot in 1983?)

I mention all this because; If Kyle jumps back before 1:52am on 12 May, he will, in theory, encounter himself some time later.
Whereas if he jumps back after that time, he will still encounter himself if he visits Tech-Noir.
But, for some reason, which I believe is filmed in Pescadero or prison, because the picture we saw shows him and Sarah both wearing identical coverals, might suggest that scene was shot in 1997, and of course in that case he died 13 years earlier.
It’s sort of funny how people will be okay with far fetched ideas while being annoyed when real facts are tampered with too much.
That being said: Kyle Reese should look like he hasn’t been fed well, but people making post-apocalyptic have unrealistic looks (like make up or clothing that doesn’t look too ragged) is an age old problem.
