2010 was a year of plenty of news but yet no real news on the promised T5 & T6 sequels! Another year goes by of fans wanting a Terminator 5 and of Hedge Fund Giant Pacificor handing out the rights here and there to companies to make some return. An animated feature called Terminator 3000 was completely halted by Pacificor when Hannover House expressed interest in making another PG-13 3D movie.
Official Statement Released By Pacificor:
"Please be advised that developing, producing, marketing or in any other way utilising characters and situations which are part of the Terminator franchise infringes upon and interferes with Pacificor's ownership rights."

The Terminator, Terminator 2 Judgment Day & Terminator Salvation have all got new merchandise this year. Salvation still fresh from 2009 and the 3rd movie Rise Of The Machines generally not liked enough to demand new merchandise.
We did get more merchandise as mentioned, books from Titan Books, toys from Hot Toys, a new endoskeleton from Sideshow Collectibles, T-shirts for Terminator 2 by GoldLabel.com and more. Showing people are still interested in this franchise. James Cameron stated otherwise in 2010 and said he thinks Terminator isn't current and no one cares anymore. 2010 saw James Cameron to distance himself from the series further and to insult the saga more but still continues to use the Terminator name to great effect when it involves promoting his Avatar movies or political campaigns with the Governor.
Terminator 2 5D at Movieland Studios got new life breathed into it in the form of adding a light-gun aspect to the ride, giving the ride the new title Terminator 2 5D The Game.
There has also been more conventions and events to meet the cast of Terminator than ever! Meaning that you meeting your favourite stars has become even more possible in year 2010.
This year also saw many Terminator props being sold at auction, you could own parts of the movies themselves! They even sold one of the Terminator 2 Future War Endoskeletons (battle damaged).
We look forward to the future with a sense of hope, if the Terminator franchise can bring us this amount of news on a year with no movie release then maybe it can give back soon to us. Arnold may just be back on the big screen sooner than you think! Terminator Salvation may have a left bitter taste in peoples mouths but it did provide some great merchandise and even the online game Terminator Salvation FIG still lives on till today so go play now if you haven't.

Also maybe FOX TV will hear the cries of a worldwide audience of fans missing their favourite tv show. The shows cliffhanger left John in the future world with a human counterpart to Cameron only for the show to get axed. Keep up the hard work and the fan sites, eventually they may hear you and do what's best by you and their wallets.
