Post Which part of The Terminator did you enjoy the most?
What made Terminator connect with you? The story, the visuals, the music?

What did you enjoy the most from the very first Terminator movie?

I think it was everything, to be honest. Even though the visuals are very dated by today's standards, it still contributed. In terms of visuals, I would say Cameron's excessive use of blue in the night scenes is what I really loved, same with T2.

The music is actually very good, Brad Fiedel did a really good job. even the police station escape scene haha.

This deleted scene really captures it for me, I really wish they would have put it in the movie:

Everything. The music, the story, the visuals, etc. The atmosphere of the film was really amazing. The stories Kyle tells to Sara about the future were chilling. The film really is a perfect 10.

Awesome film that is very underrated and just as good as T2, albeit for different reasons.

The entire film is great, the shootout on Tech Noir, the car (Great speed) pursuit throgout of entire emovie, Then gas truck explosion, the entire movie rocks, it's great, the best one, the original, the world world cheer for the Terminator, I was there in 1984, shocked the world, kicked the audience ass, the Endo skeletor never ending pursuit, I just loved it all, untill today, changed my life deeply. Thanks James Cameron, waht else to say, far away so many films, James Cameron is the guy who knows what the audience loves, The audience is listening, and feeling Jin, come back please, THX propaganda been used in one of the must great experience i ever had on Cinema, and I must say, i watched Ben hur on cinema in 1979, and Terminator was Greater than it, just love it.

I like the dark, unrelenting pursuit of the first movie. I would like to see a 5th installment return to these darker roots of film-making.

I would have liked some more gore in the first movie too... plus Schwarzenegger as a bad Terminator worked... by Terminator 3 he had become a parody of himself and the role actually made me cringe each time the Terminator (T-850) talked.

The T-850 was made to look stupid with the wrong camera positioning, stupid dialogue and his interaction with characters. The worst thing is that Arnold himself had a say in these things and he was perfectly happy to make a joke of himself showing that the confidence of him appearing as an older Terminator was bullshit and that if the movie stunk he could go well look at me wearing those Elton John glasses... the movie is not serious and it is a joke and a million miles away from the grimy grittiness of the first movie.

Terminator needs to go back to T1 but maintaining that T2 sheen of polish, just a little but not too much but the sights for the movie should be more epic and larger in scope than T2.

It may never happen but all we can do is hope right?

I loved the dark blue future and abandoning it in Salvation was a HUGE MISTAKE.

The soundtrack becomes more iconic all the time... The 80s is very 'in' at the moment!
