Exclusive: Terminator 2: 3D Produced by Lightstorm Entertainment

Lightstorm Entertainment Terminator 2 3D

While we knew that James Cameron would be overseeing the 3D conversion of Terminator 2 3D what now excites us even more is the direct involvement of Jim Cameron’s company Lightstorm Entertainment. Some fans may have been skeptical if his involvement was more a courtesy credit with little involvement from Cameron other than thumbing up or thumbing down the conversion itself.

A trusted source of TheTerminatorFans.com told us the following…

James Cameron has been more hands on with Terminator 2 than people would anticipate, his company Lightstorm Entertainment will be credited in the production of Terminator 2: Judgment Day’s 3D release.

This totally now makes sense to us and raises our hopes really high for this release of T2, while Terminator 2 3D in early press releases claimed to be utilizing some of the most advanced 3D technology ever seen; knowing that Lightstorm is involved to this degree in production is a very cool prospect for movie-goers and Terminator Fans!

We could be seeing aspects of the very technology being used to make Avatar 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Terminator 2: 3D (2017). Will Terminator 2: 3D be a glimpse at the future of 3D… it could well be!

We have heard many good things about Terminator 2: 3D…

Another source a while back told us that they went back to the original film reel for the movie to bring it to the big screen!

Another really positive thing that same source told us is that the original CGI files by ILM (Industrial Light and Magic) have been accessed for the production… we could indeed be seeing the most perfect representation of the T-1000 on the big screen to date! Could we perhaps be seeing improved VFX and particle effects that make Robert Patrick’s liquid metal messiah (The T-1000) more believable than ever before?

Cameron’s next big agenda is also to make naked eye 3D technology, he wishes to remove the barriers and headaches involved with 3D glasses, he wants to remove them from the equation all together,- and if Jim Cameron wants to do something he will find a way!

TheTerminatorFans.com is officially pumped to see this movie and in Lightstorm and Jim we trust; this should prove to be an excellent cinematic event!

While DMG will distribute the movie in China we believe Paramount Pictures will be distributing domestically etc. (as we exclusively reported their involvement a while back). This could perhaps be Paramount Pictures beginning to right the wrongs of previous Terminator mistakes. Stereo D we reported a while back is also involved in the conversion process. STUDIOCANAL is obviously the rights holder and has allowed a co-operation that will meet the needs of an excellent T2 theatrical release WORLDWIDE.

We’ll be back!
