LINDA HAMILTON FAN GROUP REPORT:

The Linda Hamilton Fan Group is back with another fantastic Linda Hamilton report. LHFG found an interesting interview which can be found on the info page. I was a Linda virgin, yup I admit it. Collectormania 16, May 2010 was the first opportunity I had to meet this wonderful lady. Up until then, I had only heard from Lina, Cheryl and others just how great their experience of meeting her was, but you can never truly appreciate it until the chance comes your way.

I don't normally 'take' to celebrities but I can honestly say, Linda was one of the most beautiful people there this weekend, in spite of the likes of Patrick Stewart being present, Linda's warmth and personality and her ability to reach out to the fans, far outshone pretty much every other guest present. I feel very privileged to have had an opportunity to meet her face to face. She had time, energy and enthusiasm for everyone who went to her signing table and her photoshoot. I cannot ever remember a point where she didn't have a wonderful beaming smile on her face. 

I think actually, she was the only guest I went to see on all three days that she was appearing. On the last day, I had a photo signed for a friend and I went to shake hands with her, she took my hand and held it tight in both of hers and said "thanks so much for coming baby doll, take care." You always remember things like that, they're the things that matter and also one of the things that made meeting Linda so special and memorable and something that will always bring a smile to my face. Thank you Linda!

Meeting Linda for the second time was absolutely brilliant. I got to spend alot more time with and around her than I did when I met her first time around at last years MCM expo. 

I went dressed as Sarah Connor on the Saturday and to my surprise Linda actually remembered me from last year when I was dressed as a slightly different Sarah Connor. 

She was so brilliant and warm towards everyone and took the time to actually talk to each and every fan that queued to get her autograph. 

My visit this year was a special one as well as finally meeting all my new friends it was my birthday. My very good friends asked Linda to sign a very special autograph for my birthday which really surprised me as well as some photos with her and several hugs and kisses. 

I also got the chance to introduce my wee sister Rex to Linda as she hadn't met Linda before and Linda was just amazing with her. All in all an excellent time had by all.

Cheryl Gendreau Says:

I have met my fair share of celebrities over time, but I can say without a doubt that meeting Linda Hamilton was one of the greatest pleasures of my life. She is one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. Unlike some celebrities who are very cautious when it comes to greeting fans, Linda is very approachable and extremely affectionate with everyone. I have had the honour of meeting Linda twice now, once in NYC and just recently in the UK , and I can honestly say that I feel like I am a better person for having met her. If you ever get the opportunity to meet this lovely lady, DO IT. You won't regret it!

Meeting Linda in Milton Keynes for the first time and I was both excited and a bit nervous. 

Although a lot of people had said she was really sweet and warm you want to find out for yourself. I met her at the photoshoot on Saturday for the first time and she was really nice and friendly she took my hands and said Take care and I was speechless. I couldn’t say anything. Felt a bit stupid about that. When I met her later at her table all my nerves had gone I asked her about if she’d ever wanted to do stage work again and she replied that she’d love to do that for the rest of her career but no plans yet. ;)

She’s without a doubt the most friendly, warm, affectionate actress I’ve met and I’ve met quite a few. On the Sunday photoshoot she gave me an amazing hug and I was pleasantly surprised that she’d remembered my name. :) 

I asked her about her favourite role and she said A Mothers Prayer. I will never forget this fun weekend in MK and I hope to meet Linda again in the future. She’s such an amazing woman takes her time with everyone. Thank you Linda !!

From the moment we saw her she captured our hearts with her beauty, her warmth and her courage. We all knew then as much as we know now, that she would change our lives, forever....

* COLLECTORMANIA, FRI MAY 28- MON 31 2010 *

For me this was the second time I had the most amazing pleasure of meeting Linda. After being a fan of hers from an early age of 2 years-old. I had started watching her role of Catherine Chandler in "Beauty and the Beast" (1987-1990).
I had taken with me to the Collectormania convention every photo ever published from the series, as well as photos from both her Terminator movies, to show Linda and I had had picked a few for her to sign for me... 

* SATURDAY 29TH, MAY 2010 *

Upon approaching her table where she meets and greets the fans, I stood in line and waited patiently, yet excitedly to hug, kiss and tell her how much I've missed her. Standing in front of her, face to face and hear her speak the words, "I remember you hun, I think about you all the time.", at this point I really, nearly started tearing up inside, to hear the words from someone who shows so much love and emotion, it was truly heart-touching.
She signed a few photos to which she explained her experiences during the time of both "Terminator" movies and "Beauty and the Beast" TV series.
I had great pleasure in sharing a kiss with her, a warm and comforting hug and she asked me to visit her later that day (for a chat and of course the photo shoot!) as I walked away, she waved, smiled and winked. I can still feel it all in my heart today. . .

Later that day, in preparation for the photo shoot, myself and my fabulous friends (you know who you are guys!) all lined up and started the queue to share a great photo moment with Linda.
I saw her standing there under the lights, in front of the camera and in front of me with open arms and I just melted. For someone like her to get me feeling like this just makes your heart pound. Within a moment the photo shoot was over but Linda, once again whispered to me, "I'll see you later hunny", and yet again, I just went weak at the knees!

* SUNDAY 30TH MAY, 2010 *

Bright and early morning, me and my friend Lina, were downstairs in the hotel lobby, whilst Lina was having a cigarette outside, Linda arrived in a car and quickly entered the building.
Linda smiled, and greeted me once again with open arms and I had the privilege of making a short video with her of us standing together (and Lina). It was great!! She is truly so nice and never fails to spend time with anyone....

Unfortunately I had to tell her that I was returning to Manchester later this Sunday, she told me she really didn't want me to leave and I told her I didn't want too either but I will be spending the rest of the morning and the afternoon with her signing photos and of course my final photo shoot with her, so I knew I had to make the most of it!!!
Before Linda had to leave the lobby, she told me she wanted a proper chat with me before I leave and to say goodbye. I told her I will see her at her table, and I did...

So, back to autograph signing, there Linda was sat at her table with pen in one hand and a photo in the other. I approached her and she kissed me ever so gently on my lips and whispered, "Darryl, I love you!!" and without any hesitation, I responded back with those three exact same words and she just smiled at me!
I shared with Linda, many more of my photos that I had collected over the previous years and she laughed at one particular photo that she didn't remember posing for. It's a fabulous photo (which can be seen in my album) and she signed it -

"Darryl, I am kissing you always and always -Linda Hamilton"

I think at this point, as well as smiling, I was also ready for crying :'( moments like this will remain forever in my hearts.

* My Finest Hour * -

This was the moment when I thought I would spend my last moment with Linda so I intended to make it special. We stood together, hugged and shared a kiss for the photo, until she asked me again to attend her table for the final time, so of course I did.

The photo took just over 2 hours to print so I grabbed it the first chance I could and rushed over to Linda, which at this point it was all open queue for a final autograph, this was the autograph that really had me in pieces, it was so unexpected of what she wrote. And when she wrote it, I heard the exact same words from her mouth...

"Darryl, come live with me!"- Linda Hamilton

:'( Tears were starting to stream down my face but I think I managed to hide it, if not I'm sure someone out there has probably captured that!! haha (Lina, Cheryl, Amy, Shirley - you better not have!!!!)

I got my camera out and asked Linda if she would say a few words into my camera and of course she did. We had a great laugh, telling me she hopes to see me within the year and she will miss me very much, until then. . .

Through my eyes, LINDA has been the most beautiful moment. Through my desire she has been the most lusted after and craved being in existence. Through my heart she has been the most amazing experience of my life and through my mind she has been the most intense fantasy and desire and the most purest moments of happiness.
